Friends of the Loveland Public Library Foundation is dedicated to supporting and advocating for the Loveland Public Library and its mission “to inform, enrich and inspire a strong, engaged community”. The Friends generate current and long-term funding for library programs through volunteer involvement.

This fall, we've had donations of unusually large numbers of DVDs, vinyl record albums, children's and teen books, and a big collection of like-new art books. You'll see all of these, as well as our usual wide range of 50,000+ items, at our Fall 2019 sale!

The Bricks are Back!

We're sponsoring another campaign for the installation of commemorative bricks in the patio beside Loveland Public Library.

It's a great way to remember a loved one or an event, share a quotation, or advertise your business. Funds raised support various library programs, including the Summer Reading Program, the Kevin Cook Nature Series, the no-cost computer classes, and many more.

Ordering period: October 1 through December 31, 2019
Installation: Spring 2020
Prices: 4x4" brick $100 / 8x8" brick $200 / small replicas $25 & $35 / custom logos $100 & up
Order online at: http://www.brickmarkersusa.com/donors/flpl.html

See the Bricks page for more information and a printable form, if you prefer.

This year’s Loveland Loves to Read event presented a thematic approach, with “Water in the West: A Conversation” featuring two authors and two books. For the main event, authors Paolo Bacigalupi (The Water Knife) and Patty Limerick (A Ditch in Time: The City, the West, and Water) participated in a conversation moderated by Brian Werner (Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District), followed by questions from the audience, and a book signing. The next day, the authors held an informal Meet & Greet session.
