Friends of the Loveland Public Library Foundation is dedicated to supporting and advocating for the Loveland Public Library and its mission “to inform, enrich and inspire a strong, engaged community”. The Friends generate current and long-term funding through volunteer involvement.

This year’s Loveland Loves to Read event presents a thematic approach, with “Water in the West: A Conversation” featuring two authors, with two books, and a supplementary reading list.

Authors Paolo Bacigalupi (The Water Knife) and Patty Limerick (A Ditch in Time: The City, the West, and Water) will have a conversation moderated by Brian Werner (Northern Colorado Water Conservancy District) on the evening of Tuesday, September 24, at Thompson Valley High School.

The Water Knife is fiction, A Ditch in Time is non-fiction. Read one, or read both! They offer distinct views of Water in the West, which will enhance our understanding of the issues and inspire stimulating conversation.
