Loveland Lights

Over the years, this festive event has featured decorated holiday trees and displays, a model railroad, musical entertainment, a children's gingerbread workshop, book and bake sales, food drives, origami, holiday crafts, demonstrations by spinners, weavers, and woodcarvers, and many other activities.  

Loveland Lights 2017

The theme for this year was “Holiday Traditions Around the World.” Children were issued a “passport”, and explored and learned about how different countries celebrate the holidays.  

Other activities included:

  • Kid's gingerbread and carving workshops 
  • A holiday book and bake sale sponsored by the Friends of the Loveland Public Library
  • Children’s book authors Joanna and Eric Johnson, Kelly Shepherd, and Ellen Javernick will display, sell and sign their books 
  • Several area school choirs, and Lia Rudeen, a budding young harpist 
  • A Kwanzaa storyteller 
  •  A Winter House Competition - think Gingerbread House without the baking!
